Building Integration Tutorial

Simulator Tool

Description

All the building results presented in this web site were generated using the public domain software eQUEST and have been carried out by a research team from the NFCRC (National Fuel Cell Research Center) at the University of California, Irvine.

eQUEST is a building energy simulation program that uses the most widely recognized and respected building analysis tool, DOE-2, as the simulation “engine”. This tool calculates the hourly energy use and energy cost of a commercial or residential building given information about the building's climate, construction, operation, utility rate schedule and heating, ventilating, air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment, and DG performance parameters.
