STREET Receives Continued Support from CEC

April 7, 2015

The California Energy Commission (CEC) has approved a second amendment to the "Spatially and Temporally Resolved Energy and Environment Tool" (STREET) enhancement project (CEC Contract #600-10-002). The amendment will continue the Advanced Power and Energy Program's support of the Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program (ARFVTP) planning activities at the CEC. The second amendment extended the term of the contract for 3 years such that STREET model analyses can continue to provide technical support to the ARFVTP in planning and evaluating the early network of hydrogen refueling stations, planning other alternative fuel refueling infrastructure, and also in developing additional air quality impact analyses. The initial contract focused on expanding the STREET model to study, in detail, alternative vehicle fuel systems. STREET was originally developed to produce hydrogen supply chain models with the capability to assess the energy, emissions, and water impacts of future scenarios.
